The Scientific Programme Committee (SPC) invites abstracts to be submitted for inclusion in the programme as posters or spoken presentations in one of the 24 Concurrent Sessions.

Scientific Programme 2018

Dear Colleagues,

The Scientific Programme Committee has again endeavoured to set up an exciting programme at the cutting-edge of current human genetics research.

The programme includes 4 Plenary Sessions, 19 Invited Symposia, 24 Concurrent Sessions from submitted abstracts, 18 Workshops, 16 Educational Sessions (more education-focused, broader-view-type of sessions), Poster Sessions with ample viewing time as well as a number of Corporate Satellites. The up-to-date programme details can be found here.

In particular, we are proud to announce a number of excellent speakers this year, among them, Mendel Lecturer 2018 Emanuelle Charpentier and ESHG Award Lecturer Matthew Hurles, both giving their talks on June 19, 2018. The complete list of confirmed speakers can be found here.

We look forward to receiving your submissions for inclusion in the scientific programme of the 2018 Meeting of the ESHG.

Young Investigator Awards

The ESHG awards a number of prizes of EUR 500.- for outstanding research by young scientists presented as a spoken contribution at the conference.
The best scored abstracts in each topic, which could not be selected for oral presentation will automatically compete for the ESHG Poster Award.
All young scientists submitting spoken presentations are encouraged to apply.

Conference Fellowships

A number of conference fellowships will be awarded by the Scientific Programme Committee for applicants from selected European and non-European countries. The nominee must be first and presenting author of an abstract submitted for either oral or poster presentation, and should be not more than four years postdoctoral. Closing date: February 9, 2018

Online Registration is open. Considerable discounts apply to ESHG members. Dedicated fees for post-docs, undergraduate students and counsellors are available. Special rates apply for ESHG members (Join/Renew your membership). Please note that higher fees apply for on-site registrations.

The European Human Genetics Conference (now in its 51st year) is a forum for all workers in human and medical genetics to review advances and develop research collaborations.

The conference has become one of the premier events in the field of human genetics with over 3.000 delegates, more than 215 oral presentations, 18 workshops, 16 educational sessions, and over 150 exhibiting companies.

The ESHG conference is where the latest developments in human genetics are discussed, and where professionals from all parts of human genetics meet.
